Enough is Enough

Has God given you enough? Paul tells us in Philippians 4:18-20 yes God has. Read with me… But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. (19) And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (20) Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Notice God used Epaphroditus to help Paul in his need. Can He use you to help someone? Has God given you enough? Ephesians 1:3-6 says yes, He has… Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. We can become casual and careless, but if they see our abilities as divinely granted gifts fully supplied by God, we can rest with ease. We can rest knowing God will fulfill all requirements for the work He has prepared for you long before the foundation of the world. When Churchill telegraphed Roosevelt and said, "Give us the tools and we'll finish the job," he was echoing the cry of the church of Christ which so often feels inadequate for the demanding task of being Christ's body on earth. But the church should be reading the Scriptures as if they were the cabled response from the Throne: "I gave you the tools (the gifts); now finish the job." Let’s finish well as we walk with Christ.
