Are you in or out?

Scripture Outline 1. The Reality of Your Commitment (Rom_12:1-2) 2. The Estimation of Yourself (Rom_12:3) 3. The Functions of Your Church (Rom_12:4-5) 4. The Exercise of Your Gifts (Rom_12:6-8) This week we will look at our first scripture Outline The Reality of Your Commitment Romans 12:1-2 NASB Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. (2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. We are told in scripture to demonstrate our commitment by presenting our bodies, refusing to conform to this world, and by being transformed through renewed minds. Paul's use of the words "present" and "sacrifice" showing clearly that he expects us to hand over our bodies to God in a manner resembling the way the people of Israel presented their offerings to the Lord. There were, of course, two main kinds of offerings: 1. Those which led to reconciliation; and 2. Those which were a celebration after reconciliation The sacrifice is to be unique in that it will be "living" as opposed to the Old Testament way of death. When we are committed to the Lord our walk will show a genuineness of that commitment. The result of such living will "prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Thank you for your commitment! It shows in your worthy walk with God! Love to all in Christ, Pastor Mike
